At Home

I will never tire of home. There is something so utterly special about being invited into the heart of family–where we live, breathe, snuggle, sleep, love. Here, nourish ourselves in all possible ways.  And so it is always with such gratitude and honor that I document this precious space around a family.

Allison & Pratik just make my heart sing. Soma is just bursting with such fantastic curiosity–he’s thoughtful and expressive, while his parents have this sweet cadence of encouraging him to explore  and yet offering guidance in just a few, gentle words when necessary–just enough for him to take in and get back to his adventure.  Chotu, their trusty sidekick, brought joy to Soma wherever they went.

It was mid-April and the garden was teeming with life. Trees were budding and grass was a saturated green carpet; we were past the snowless straw stage of March and not yet to full tree canopies of May.  Pratik found a worm in the garden, Soma padded about the yard–navigating the new walking terrain, Allison brought out snacks and Chotu tried to eat them. There was a ride in the swing, a search for rocks. All so lovely and authentic. So best.

5 star review for Jen Lucas Photography

A friend recommended Jen Lucas to me and we couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience. Not only did she take the most beautiful pictures of our son and family, but working with her was such a joy. She was incredibly responsive to all of my questions, got back to me immediately, was very flexible with scheduling the photo shoot, and her turnaround time with the pictures was very quick. Best of all, her pictures were amazing. We didn’t expect a stranger to be able to capture such intimate and personal connections, however she can into our house and took the most lovely and precious pictures. If you are looking for someone to take pictures of your family go no further, hire Jen!
