Madison WI Family Photographer | October Weekend

I so love photographing your everyday life. It is my strongest belief that these are the images that will tug at your heartstrings long after the time has passed. There will come a day, maybe not soon, but someday when your son no longer tinkers with Legos (my youngest swears he’s bringing his to college though) or fits perfectly in the cradle of your lap. It happens and it’s bittersweet in all ways. Live the moment, and while you can’t hold on to it, being present helps preserve it just a little bit longer.

Before the mountains call to you, before you leave this home,
I want to teach your heart to trust, as I will teach my own,
But sometimes I will ask the moon where it shined upon you last,
And shake my head and laugh and say it all went by too fast.  — Dar Williams
