Oh me, oh my. What a beautiful family!
One of my favorite things ever is starting a session at your home–the place you are your true self, the most comfortable. Real. Add a rolling lawn, a gorgeous late summer evening, and the cutest ol’ pup to the mix and I’m completely click happy. The C fam is as genuine and funny as they are darn right good lookin’, and the three munchkins are nothing short of hands-down fantastic kiddos–fun, curious, engaged, polite.
We left the house for the drop-dead beauty of the UW Arboreteum, where we could roam and explore without a care. From apples and berries to turkey feathers and flowers, we saw only a tiny fraction of this special space that is a hop, skip, and jump from where we all live. The sprinklers were running, and even after a whole summer of pool and water play, it still brings out joyful squeals! The light streaked, glowed, and flared through emerald trees, and we all felt the last rays of summer cascading through our hair, on our cheeks. As I write this now, autumn has arrived in both color and spirit, and yet this summer green and carefree living remains close. While it’s my personal goal to remain present for today, there’s a (not small) part of me that is already dreaming about next summer 🙂
Thank you, C Fam!
